He walked where I walked
He stood where I stand
He felt what I feel
He knows my frailty
Shared my humanity
Tempted in every way
Yet without sin
God with us
So close to us
God with us Emmanuel
One of a hated race
Stung by the prejudice
Yet he forgives
Wept for my wasted years
Paid for my wickedness
He died in my place
That I might live
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 41:10-14 KJV
There are situations in life that God uses to reveal to us how much He loves us. People we highly esteem may not even believe that God loves us half as much or may even arrogate to themselves the position of God and make us feel that their rejecting us is God’s rejection of us.
God however knows the heart of men and relates with us by His love. He knows what we’re going through and He’s with us but because we are occupied by worries and fears we feel otherwise.
God is a merciful God and is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. He knows what it feels like to go through trials and temptations and despite that, He commands us not to be afraid.
He loves us so much that even when people forsake us and we also despair, He steps in to show us how much He loves us.
God will not forsake His own. He is with you even when your feelings say otherwise.
Are you going through a trying time or trusting God for a new song?
Are you confronting a task that seems so big that people call it impossible?
God’s word to you this morning is:
FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU AND I WILL HELP YOU!
God bless you, shalom!
