Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is everyone that trusteth in them. O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great. The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence. But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord .”
Psalms 115:1-18 KJV
People who worship idols become like the idols they worship – senseless, cruel, and impure. Multitudes around the world presently worship idols made with their own hands or within their minds.
An idol is an idol, whether it be made manually or mentally, and to worship God under the similitude of metal, stones, bread or mind is idolatry. Such as many religious activities in both pentecostal, catholic, and protestant churches.
Just as Israel of old could not trust in the Lord and idols at the same time, likewise, the modern church cannot trust in psychology, education, therapy, or counseling and the Lord at the same time.
The house of Aaron in this Psalm pertains to the ministry. If the priesthood placed its trust in the Lord, basically the majority of the people would follow suit.
God will greatly bless the ministry in your hand as a Christian if you place your faith and trust exclusively in Him. The word blessings also mean increase.
God deserves our praise and who you praise, you’ll always talk about.
Give God the glory He deserves today, sing His praises and watch Him bless you with increase.
